Once upon a time a plug met a socket. The plug was a two, round pin sort of plug and the socket was designed for three square pins. There was no connection.

interesting metaphor

I'm fascinated by how our different ways of talking get in the way of our connecting. Then, instead of noticing our talk, we create so-called-real differences between us and so go our separate ways.
